NRG’s Excellence in Energy Awards – Six Years Strong

It’s that time again! NRG’s Excellence in Energy Awards return for the sixth year, bolder and better than ever.  

When we created these awards, it was with one mission – to honor forward-thinking changemakers among our customers who are transforming the energy landscape. We share profound goals – to make the world more sustainable, to explore new technologies and tools, and to ensure equitable opportunity and access to the lifeblood of industry, power. Your partnership inspires us, and we are proud to recognize the impact you are making.

Business customers, brokers, and NRG personnel may nominate organizations demonstrating consistent excellence in one or more of the following categories:

• Community – your organization is empowering and uplifting your community through hands-on mutual aid and philanthropic initiatives.
• Sustainability – your organization is implementing short and long-term programs to make your operations and facility more sustainable.
• Energy Efficiency – your organization is taking proactive measures to reduce energy consumption and costs, thus reducing overall carbon footprint.

This year, we are evolving the awards by brushing up our existing categories, and adding a new award:

• We have formalized official Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers within our categories, with elegant new trophies for each placement.
• The Timeless Award will be presented for the first time this year. No nominations are needed for this award, which will honor a legacy customer whose long-standing relationship and consistent collaboration over the years have significantly contributed to our shared success.

This is your moment to shine! Submissions open on July 15, and are open to all NRG Business, Direct Energy Business, Green Mountain Energy, Cirro Energy, and Reliant Energy customers.
