We’ve added a convenient deal confirmation email to the contracting process. This ensures that you have all the details of the contracts you’ve submitted immediately following submission, including your client’s information and deal details.

We’ll continue to provide the same electricity products that your customers choose the most, along with more possibilities, including expanded electricity market reach, natural gas (in certain markets) and a suite of managed products that includes support from our Advisory Services team. In addition, NRG offers matrix pricing—quick and easy all-in daily pricing that allows you to present a quote to your clients and execute contracts with no fuss. If you’ve worked with Direct Energy Business or GME/Cirro in the past, you have probably experienced the benefits of having matrix pricing as an option.

If you are currently approved to sell under the NRG brand, you can sign up to receive our Daily Matrix Pricing to your inbox by logging in to the online account management portal and selecting this option under ''Profile.'' Once you’ve elected to receive matrix pricing, you can access all of the resources you need for pricing and contracting matrix deals online.

From a customer experience perspective, existing Reliant customers will experience very little change, beyond moving to an NRG branded experience and receiving an NRG invoice.

Your customers will continue to access the same tools and resources for managing their energy/account that help simplify doing business with us—with enhanced functionality. Now, new customers will have the option to self-register for online account management.

Customers will continue to receive a constant flow of operational and educational communications throughout the course of their contract term, with support from our experienced team of in-house customer care professionals.**

As we rebrand to NRG, we want to ensure that you have a broker agreement with Direct Energy Business because we’ll be operating under that legal entity (d/b/a NRG and NRG Business in ERCOT). This will allow us to continue serve you and your customers.

• If you already have a Direct Energy Business broker agreement, you will simply receive a notice that Direct Energy will be rebranded to NRG.
• If you don’t currently have an agreement with Direct Energy Business, your account executive will be sending you a new agreement to review and sign. This new agreement is very similar to the existing broker agreement(s) you have with Reliant

Our goal is to keep your commissions structure the same as it currently is for Texas sales made under the NRG brand after the sales cutover in June. Your Account Executive will discuss any exceptions to this directly with you. Please keep in mind that for a period of time, you will be paid using old and new methods: deals signed under Reliant will continue to be paid via the same commissions statements you currently have; deals signed as NRG will be paid via an NRG-branded statement, which will be available through NRG’s online account management portal, OAM.
