Green Mountain Energy
Green Mountain Energy is inspiring hope and motivating action with the use of cleaner energy through the work of Sun Club®. Since its founding in 2002, Sun Club has donated more than $14 million to 165+ projects across the country. In total, these projects have avoided using 8,500 gallons of fuel, captured 20 million gallons of rainwater, grown 369,000 pounds of produce, and generated 25 million kWh of solar electricity in our communities.
NRG Dewey Prairie Garden
Located near a food desert in Jewett, Texas, these 10 acres of reclaimed land supplement food pantries and provide fresh produce to an estimated 3,000 people. By working with sustainability focused partners like Texan by Nature, we are investing in our planet and providing healthy food in places where we operate.
The Galveston Bay Foundation
The Galveston Bay Foundation is a conservation organization that strives to preserve and conserve the Galveston Bay for future generations. Focused on education, water protection, and land conservation, the foundation works to ensure that the Bay stays full of life and contributes to the community.
As a longtime partner, NRG leases space to the foundation where they grow smooth cordgrass plants for use in their marsh restoration efforts. Additionally, NRG supports the annual Bike Around the Bay fundraiser and Marsh Mania, an event that gathers community volunteers to restore acres of vital saltmarsh habitat around Galveston Bay.

For the past 100 years, the Montville Power Station has been providing power to communities and the people of Connecticut. When Sandi Dodge walked through the doors on August 23rd, 1999, she joined a team of 60 employees to work as the Office Coordinator. To this day, she believes the team’s continued dedication and commitment are key to ensuring the plant operates safely and reliably.
