Every year during positiveNRG Impact Week, thousands of NRG employees across the country power a brighter future together by stepping away from their daily routines to give back to our communities.

NRG supports a variety of goodwill programs

At our offices and sites across the country, NRG employees dedicate time, expertise,
and financial support to help those in need. To encourage and reinforce these contributions,
NRG supports a variety of goodwill programs.

NRG Matching Gifts

We match each employee's donations to qualifying organizations dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000 annually per employee.

TEAM NRG

NRG makes a $1,000 grant to any qualifying organization for which an employee team of six or more participates in a volunteer activity outside their normal workday.

NRG Dollars for Hours

To supplement employee volunteerism at qualifying organizations, we contribute $10 for every hour of volunteer service, up to 50 hours annually.

NRG Disaster Program Triple Match

We match employee donations 3:1 when they're made in response to a qualified disaster.

NRG Volunteer Days

Teams of employees are encouraged to volunteer during work hours for nonprofit organizations supported by the company.

As the nation watched Hurricane Harvey escalate into a devastating storm, my immediate focus was on a handful of very important things – protecting my family, the safety of NRG employees and our customers and the continuity of our retail electricity business in Texas.

100 years of power. 100 years of people.

For the past 100 years, the Montville Power Station has been providing power to communities and the people of Connecticut. When Sandi Dodge walked through the doors on August 23rd, 1999, she joined a team of 60 employees to work as the Office Coordinator. To this day, she believes the team’s continued dedication and commitment are key to ensuring the plant operates safely and reliably.
