Energy conversion calculator

Energy conversion calculator

Energy and the fuels used to generate it are measured in many different units and yet there

are times when we need to compare quantities.  It could be as simple as converting pricing

offers provided in megawatt hours to kilowatt hours, or more complicated, like comparing

quantities of natural gas and electricity. Use our helpful tool, based on calculations provided

by the Energy Information Administration (EIA), for easy conversion.

Conversion factors

Convert price or volume from one unit of measure to another.

CONVERT FROM

Conversion rates will vary by utility based on their particular line loss, shrinkage, and BTU rate. This tool is for informational purposes only and is not intended to provide advice from NRG Energy.
