Excellence in Energy Awards

How do you define excellence? What is it that sets this organization apart from the others? Metrics are important, but true excellence goes beyond numbers and speaks to character, values, and an approach to make a long-lasting impact well into the future. To recognize our customers who have demonstrated leadership this year, we are introducing our first-ever Excellence in Energy Awards. These awards acknowledge NRG and Reliant large business customers who have a current, active electric energy sales agreement with us and are committed to being sustainable, energy-efficient, and active contributors to their communities.

Now through September 30, we are accepting entries for our Excellence in Energy Awards. We will recognize our customers by industry during a virtual ceremony on November 18, 2020.

Community

As an energy organization, being actively involved in the community is one of our primary focuses. We’re in the business of providing power to the areas in which we operate, so giving back and corporate social responsibility is a fundamental pillar of our identity. The winning Community Award will be granted to the company that reached out and connected with their community and contributed to the public by means of financial and in-kind support of projects.

Sustainability

Looking ahead at tomorrow’s sustainable and renewable energy solutions in an effort to prevent climate change is crucial to our business. Using solar panels and alternative energy sources is a great start. The Sustainability Award recognizes those who have gone above and beyond their sustainability goals and have had a significant environmental impact with provisions for ongoing monitoring, measuring, and improvement in their sustainability efforts.

Energy Efficiency

In our industry, optimizing energy usage is a cornerstone of innovation. In addition to enhancing your organization’s energy strategy, it also frees up the grid and helps others attain reliable and dependable energy. The Energy Efficiency Award acknowledges those who have contributed to environmental goals in addition to efficiency gains. These award winners can demonstrate their commitment to energy efficiency by upgrading green power technology or solutions that result in energy savings and capital improvements or by providing documentation of a recent energy audit.

Winners of the Excellence in Energy Awards will receive a trophy alongside a host of other benefits: including a framed certificate, a video to showcase on your webpage, and external recognition.
