Scott Hart is President of NRG Business, where he leads a unified organization spanning Sales, Customer Care, Demand Response, Data Center and Large Load Origination, Revenue Operations, Business Marketing, and Strategic Intelligence. He oversees the full lifecycle of NRG’s portfolio of products and services for business customers of all sizes, guiding teams focused on delivering solutions that make energy more affordable, reliable, accessible, and sustainable.

In this role, Scott is responsible for advancing NRG’s competitive position across North American retail energy markets, both established and emerging. He and his team do this by delivering customized solutions that meet customer needs and address the growing complexity of an evolving energy grid and industry.

Scott brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in the utility and competitive retail energy sectors. He began his career at Enserch Corporation and later served as President of Commercial Services for Green Mountain Energy, a role he continued through its acquisition by NRG in 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University and an MBA from Baylor University.
