Chief Growth & Policy Officer

Caroline Golin is Chief Growth & Policy Officer, responsible for advancing NRG's priority growth initiatives, including positioning NRG as a turnkey power development partner for AI growth and the leading provider of flexible power in the country. Under the new department, Caroline will lead the Company towards an integrated, enterprise growth strategy, buildout new platform partnerships, and align NRG’s policy, regulatory, and sustainability teams with its commercial agenda.

Caroline brings more than two decades of experience in energy markets, policy, and product innovation to NRG. She led global energy market development and innovation at Google, where she played a key role in advancing the company’s energy strategy and co-created its effort to operate on 24/7 carbon‑free energy by 2030. Earlier, she founded and was CEO of Envision Energy Advisors, helping stakeholders across the energy value chain tackle complex challenges in grid planning, procurement strategy, capital structuring, and cross-sector partnerships.

Caroline holds a BA from the University of Florida and three graduate degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology: a Master's in International Relations with a focus on Environmental Economics, a Master's in Environmental Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Energy Economics and Policy.
