The Warren Center Receives $100,000 from the Reliant Gives Program

—Program Enabled Texans to Direct Nearly $350,000 to Selected Nonprofits in 2016—

After a public voting campaign, The Warren Center in Dallas was named the top recipient of Reliant’s third round of Reliant Gives, the company’s crowd-sourced charitable giving program. The Warren Center, who provides resources and support to more than 2,500 young children and families who struggle with developmental delay or disability, has received the top donation of $100,000.

“We are sincerely grateful to Reliant and our supporters who rallied behind our cause to help us receive this amazing donation,” said Amy Spawn, executive director of The Warren Center. “The Reliant Gives donation will help us continue to serve and empower children and families across the Dallas-Fort Worth area impacted by developmental delays and disabilities.”

The two additional nonprofit recipients are Houston-based Snowdrop Foundation and CYCLE: Changing Young Children’s Lives through Education, which received $10,000 and $5,000 donations, respectively, based on the public vote total.

The Reliant Gives program, new in 2016, has now donated $345,000 to nine deserving nonprofits and plans to continue supporting great causes in 2017. To date, the Reliant Gives program has impacted nearly 120,000 lives across the state of Texas.

The nonprofits selected to participate in this most recent round of Reliant Gives included:

• Snowdrop Foundation in Houston, which provides scholarships for college-bound pediatric cancer patients and childhood cancer survivors.
• CYCLE: Changing Young Children’s Lives through Education in Houston, a charity that rewards students with new bicycles for achieving better academic performance.
• The Warren Center in Dallas, which helps children from birth to five years of age who struggle with a developmental delay or disability.

The Reliant Gives mission is to support causes that are important to people in Texas communities. Through this program, Reliant employees nominate and the public at large votes for the organization of their choice.
